Dude.. if you're really keen about making a naruto game, you need to find someone with the skillset for it..

It seems to me like you're much more interested in web servers and the website itself than than the game it's supposed to promote

If you were part of a group (like SLO for example), you'd be the web administrator and/or developer, NOT one of the game devs.

Hey,
finally lighting works, basic terrain is created and here is the first screenshot from the game! (finally)

I think I'll stick to the low poly style of the game. Trees are easily climbable and you can stand on the branches or on top of the trees.

I know any new informations has not been released in a year or so.

Development of server is still active (server is also used for one another project).
Client was updated to the latest Unity version and also switched to HDRP rendering pipeline.
Client networking is also under active (but slow) development.
I'm not graphic designer so I'm unable to do 3D stuff so game is now in more like WoW style general RPG state than "Naruto" game.

My goals are now make full server/client networking, server persistence and implement client UI for inventory, jutsus, missions and so on.
So game will not looks like Naruto game until this is done. Then I'll start to look for some designers.

Yep, I'm using Unity for client and .NET Core for server.
Probably yes but I'm not expert in this field.

That's interesting question. My first plan was to use the original names of countries and hidden villages and follow any "better" fanart of naruto map. For example this one https://www.deviantart.com/fire-daimyo/art/NARUTO-COMPLETE-WORLD-MAP-625254407

But every other village can be named by community. Detailed map of the country with all the villages can be created by community too.


Would it be okay with you if we just used what SLO had in mind?

I'm not sure about copyright of the SLO map.
It looks fine, but kinda small. If you take the map what I posted we can build the mainland first and then release the islands in the future.

In this stage I have not decided how to implement clans & organizations yet. Clans may have been binded to one clan per account for all characters on all servers.
Kekkei Genkai will be available as something like talent tree.

Organizations may work as a "guild". Quests for organizations will be available.

I'm opened to other/better ideas.

From the images on indiedb... it looks like c# code so I’m guessing your using Unity or Godot.

So will you be using cell shaders or going full HD?
And if your using Unity... are you planning on using The Dots and burst systems for any part of the development?
