That's interesting question. My first plan was to use the original names of countries and hidden villages and follow any "better" fanart of naruto map. For example this one https://www.deviantart.com/fire-daimyo/art/NARUTO-COMPLETE-WORLD-MAP-625254407

But every other village can be named by community. Detailed map of the country with all the villages can be created by community too.


Would it be okay with you if we just used what SLO had in mind?

I'm not sure about copyright of the SLO map.
It looks fine, but kinda small. If you take the map what I posted we can build the mainland first and then release the islands in the future.

In this stage I have not decided how to implement clans & organizations yet. Clans may have been binded to one clan per account for all characters on all servers.
Kekkei Genkai will be available as something like talent tree.

Organizations may work as a "guild". Quests for organizations will be available.

I'm opened to other/better ideas.

From the images on indiedb... it looks like c# code so I’m guessing your using Unity or Godot.

So will you be using cell shaders or going full HD?
And if your using Unity... are you planning on using The Dots and burst systems for any part of the development?

Will we have player created Clans & Organizations?

If so, will clans be able to get through some process Kekkei Genkai?
And will Organizations get the option to serve under a Kage, (if there are any player Kages running the villages) or become an evil rogue organization that has decided to leave their village?

I like the idea, mainly because i've played WoW a lot, in my opinion you should be able to loot the injured/dead player.
Makes it more fun to target someone with valuable loot.
And it gives a feeling of danger, which gives you the adrenaline rush when not being in a safe zone.

Hey,
my current plan is to make the game primary PvP (everyone can be attacked almost anytime) with safe zones like villages and couple of starting PvE zones near villages to let the newbies to gain some experience, stuff, etc.
When dead player can be summoned back by techniques such as Edo tensei.
Player near death should be lying on the ground unable to move, slowly dying. Could be healed back to normal state and such heavyweight techniques as Edo tensei are not required.
When dead player is teleported to graveyard and must find his corpse to respawn (same as WoW).

What do you think about that?
And there is one main question. Should player loose his stuff when die?
